The American College of Surgeons is holding its Annual Advocacy and Health Policy Abstract Competition for surgical trainees during the 2024 Leadership and Advocacy Summit from April 13-16, in Washington, D.C..
The Southern California Chapter’s Advocacy Committee is pleased to announce that we will be holding our own SoCal Chapter Advocacy and Health Policy Abstract Competition to select abstracts that we will then nominate and submit to the National ACS Advocacy Competition. Abstract submissions are now being accepted for our local Chapter competition and will be reviewed and nominated for submission to the national competition. Research must focus on advocacy and health policy issues at the state or national level.
The national competition is open to all resident and surgical trainee members. However, priority will be given to authors nominated by ACS Chapters.
Please submit your abstract to socalsurgeons@gmail.com. Deadline is January 7, 2024 midnight PT. Selected Chapter abstracts will be submitted by the SoCal Advocacy Committee to the ACS competition by their deadline of January 15, 2024.
